One of the highlights of Packing Day was carefully enclosing the 12 Chrome Books that Frank Perotti was able to find, after they had aged out of their contracted school service. They will be treasured at the Alta Gracia school. And now we have the surge protectors which will be very necessary. All of our packing has been intentional and careful, and we are well-loaded with educational material, gifts for 450 students (t shirt and dental package), teachers, and some small things for good friends, well-made over the years.
Well gather at 6:30 at church as the morning light dawns. We will load the bus in the shoveled-out area in front of the main entrance. Drop-offs and happen up and down the driveway, and thence onto the sidewalk that leads to the front entrance. We'll be joined along the way at JFK by several in our group, and are eager for an on-time takeoff.
Tomorrow's going to be a long day, but tomorrow is when you most want to hear from us! Once we get set at the SANA refuge tomorrow night, I will try wi-fi permitting) to post a brief travel update. Many of us of course will be able to communicate via other modes. Keep us in your prayers!
